Devin William Injured, Out for Season Friday, August 24th , 2018 The doctors have spoken and Devin William of the Albuquerque Coyotes didn't like what he heard. The 25-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. William sustained his season-ending injury during the New Orleans Buccaneers game yesterday at Bucco Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Albuquerque medical staff reported William had a damaged elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12 months. To date, William has a 2-2 mark in 7 starts with a 2.53 ERA. He has given up 35 hits in 42.2 innings, struck out 42 and issued 17 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .222 batting average against him. |
