Ely Tags Liberty for 6 Hits Tuesday, July 24th , 2018 Alvin Ely was the King of Swing at Central Park in the 12-9 Manchester Monarchs win over the Manhattan Liberty. The Manchester first baseman stepped into the batter's box 6 times against Manhattan and delivered 6 hits. It was a sensational game for him. "Unbelievable feeling," he told the press. "It felt good. 6-for-6 isn't bad for your batting average either." Alvin Ely singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Lupul Hasdeu in the 9th.
