Phillips Shuts Out Long Beach, 4-0 Tuesday, July 17th , 2018 David Phillips kept the Long Beach Titans hitters from doing much damage at Ballpark of St. Petersburg. Long Beach could only muster 6 hits and draw no walks against the right-handed Phillips, who controlled them throughout the game. St. Petersburg won the contest, 4-0. Phillips added 4 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Phillips told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time." So far this year, Phillips has 4 wins and 1 loss and a 3.54 ERA. View Boxscore |
