Phil Penfield Hurt, Out for Year Wednesday, June 27th , 2018 Phil Penfield will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Manhattan reliever could miss the remainder of the year. Penfield was injured while throwing a pitch in the Liberty-Pelicans clash at Ballpark of St. Petersburg recently. Doctors said he has a torn labrum and would be out a minimum of 9 months. This year, Penfield is 0-and-3 with 1 save and a 3.60 ERA. He has given up 17 hits in 15 innings with 11 strikeouts. |
