Eastern Amateur Circuit Picks Top Performer Monday, June 18th , 2018 Manhattan fans have something to crow about today as Manhattan shortstop Pat Roberts nabbed the Eastern Amateur Circuit Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Roberts. He posted a .579 average (11-for-19) this past week with 4 home runs, 8 RBIs, and 6 runs scored. A look at his season totals shows Roberts with 6 home runs, .400 BA, .473 OBP, 15 RBIs and 19 runs scored. |
