Fleming Grabs ESPC Reliever of the Year Award
Friday, November 2nd , 2018
At the age of 23, Caleb Fleming says he still has a lot to learn about life in Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit.
But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the New York Knights reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2018 Eastern Semi-Pro Circuit Reliever of the Year Award.
"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Chico, California native said.
For the season, Fleming had 21 saves in 57 relief appearances, which totaled 105. He fanned 112 betters, while walking 21 and put up a record of 7-4 to go with his 2.40 ERA.
He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Chun-mei Li of the Hamilton Tigers finished second in voting, while Jörg Schmidt of the Detroit Chargers finished third.
