Nava Sizzles -- Smokes Tigers for 5 Hits
It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Jose Nava -- a 5-hit day. He went on a rampage and sparkled on the diamond at Hamilton Park, but the performance lost a little luster when the Potomacs were downed, 7-6, by the Hamilton Tigers.

After his glittering performance, the D.C. shortstop told the press that he "just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat."

His batting theory paid dividends today as he slammed 5 hits in 7 tries and put his name in the record book.

"I just wish we had added a win in the record book, too," Nava said.

Jose Nava hit a solo-shot off Marcus Smith in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, struck out in the 10th and singled in the 12th.

Nava on the season is batting .301 with 15 home runs. His totals include 46 RBIs and 52 runs scored. He has played in 92 games.
