Hit Parade: Hlousek Pops 5 Hits
|
The 5th time is the charm -- at least for Havel Hlousek.
The left fielder for the Ottawa Capitals hit the milestone against the Newark Eagles, helping his club to a narrow 3-2 victory. Hlousek finished with a 5-for-5 line at the plate.
"Hlousek was a tough out," Newark manager Fernando Ugarte told the press in the postgame interview. "If it weren't for him, I think we had this one."
Havel Hlousek singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 10th.
On the year, Hlousek is hitting .302 with 42 hits, 5 home runs, 18 RBIs, .340 OBP and has scored 17 runs.
