Hit Parade: Sibert Pops 5 Hits
|
Players get multi-hit games all the time, but 5-hit games are something else entirely. Darren Sibert walloped 5 hits in 5 at-bats for the Manchester Monarchs in a career day at Ballpark of Franklin, but it was the Franklin Knights who won the ballgame, 6-5.
"My swing was really, really there," Sibert said afterward. "I made some good, solid contact and when that happens, good things happen. And hey, 5-for-5 and losing is better than 0-for-5 and losing, right?"
