Saafir Slams 5 Hits for Boston (R) Saturday, September 9th , 2017 It was a parade of hits for Jaylen Saafir of the Boston (R) Shamrocks at PBC Rookie Development Complex. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Saafir finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 7 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Shamrocks to a win, 18-10. "Saafir was really good and we were really bad," groaned Keystones manager Dante Leiva. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Jaylen Saafir struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Evan McRae in the 8th and struck out in the 8th.
