Figueroa Hit Streak Reaches 32 Games Monday, September 4th , 2017 The number just keeps getting higher. Houston (R) center fielder Rafael Figueroa has now extended his hitting string to 32 games. He did it today with 2 hits in 4 at-bats as the Houston (R) won the game, 11-4, over the New York City (R) Blues at PBC Rookie Development Complex. "Who knows how long it will go on?" New York City (R) manager Hee-seop Kim said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Rafael Figueroa singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, walked in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Ruben Martinez in the 8th. So far this season, Figueroa has recorded a .325 batting average with 89 hits, 22 home runs, 61 RBIs, 50 runs scored and a .396 OBP. |
