Figueroa Runs Hit String to 31 Straight Games Sunday, September 3rd , 2017 Rafael Figueroa, center fielder for the Houston (R) Mavericks, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 31 games with 2 hits in his club's 3-2 victory over the New York City (R) Blues at PBC Rookie Development Complex. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Rafael Figueroa flied out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th and doubled in the 7th. This year, Figueroa is hitting .322 with 87 hits, 21 home runs, 60 RBIs and has scored 48 runs. |
