Figueroa Sizzles with 30-Game Batting Streak Saturday, September 2nd , 2017 Rafael Figueroa continued his streak at PBC Rookie Development Complex, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Houston (R) center fielder was 1-for-3 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 30 games. The Mavericks were not as fortunate, losing, 14-2, to the New York City (R) Blues. "Figueroa was hitting everything we threw at him," said New York City (R) manager Hee-seop Kim. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame and we came away with a win." Rafael Figueroa doubled in the 1st, struck out in the 4th and grounded out in the 5th. Figueroa's current batting average stands at .318 and he has chalked up 21 home runs and 60 RBIs. |
