Kent's Season Could be Over
Sunday, August 27th , 2017
A blow for Doug Kent today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 14 months with a torn ulnar collateral ligament. Kent suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Tampa Bay (R) Thunder are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Kent's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature.
This season, he has made 26 relief appearances, collecting 8 saves. Kent has worked 38.2 innings, yielding 29 hits and giving out 15 free passes while striking out 45. He has a 6-3 record with a 2.56 ERA.
