Figueroa Hit Streak Soars to 25 Games Thursday, August 24th , 2017 Rafael Figueroa continued his streak at PBC Rookie Development Complex, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Houston (R) center fielder was 2-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 25 games. The Mavericks were not as fortunate, losing, 4-1, to the Denver (R) Cutthroats. "Figueroa was hitting everything we threw at him," said Denver (R) manager Greg Molloy. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame and we came away with a win." Rafael Figueroa singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. For the year, Figueroa is batting .302 with 21 home runs, 57 RBIs and 43 runs scored. |
