Shamrocks No Match for Hill, Motors in 11-0 Thumping Monday, August 21st , 2017 The Boston (R) Shamrocks were almost helpless in their 11-0 loss to the Detroit (R) Motors and hurler Ed Hill. Hill kept the Shamrocks confused all game, spinning a 7-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Hill," Boston (R) manager Luis Santana said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 18-year-old right-hander had no walks and 7 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Hill said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way." This year, Hill has gone 8-2 with an ERA of 1.77 and has 131 strikeouts in 116.2 innings. View Boxscore |
