Hit Streak Now at 20 for Ventura Friday, August 4th , 2017 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Danny Ventura did it again, bashing 4 hits in the contest at PBC Rookie Development Complex. For the last 20 games in a row, the 17-year-old right fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Atlanta (R) Pilots beat the Tampa Bay (R) Thunder, 9-6. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Ventura told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Atlanta (R) clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Danny Ventura singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. This season, Ventura is hitting at a .327 pace with 5 home runs, 22 RBIs and has scored 22 times. |
