Philadelphia (R)'s Stargell Down with Injury Sunday, July 30th , 2017 The season is ending on a bad note for Craig Stargell, closer for the Philadelphia (R) Keystones. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Stargell was hurt against the St. Louis (R) Lions while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn rotator cuff and will be out for at least 4 months. So far this season, Stargell has 2 saves in 17 relief appearances with a 0-2 mark and 1.59 ERA. Opposing teams are hitting .235 against him. |
