Zuniga Parks 3 HR in the Seats Friday, July 28th , 2017 Fans are still buzzing after Washington (R) whipped the Denver (R) Cutthroats by the score of 11-2 at PBC Rookie Development Complex. Jose Zuniga smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the left fielder bashed out 4 hits in 5 at-bats, had 4 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, Zuniga said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Zuniga said. "Three is just... wow." Jose Zuniga hit a solo-shot off Dave Ybarra in the 1st, walked in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Franklin Avila in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Richard Destefani in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. This season, Zuniga has hit at a .267 clip and produced 30 RBI, 9 home runs and 26 runs. |
