Boston (R) Tops St. Louis (R) Monday, October 16th , 2017 The Boston (R) Shamrocks ignited a huge celebration as they beat the St. Louis (R) Lions 9-7 to win the Championship Cup. Boston (R) won the series 4-3, capturing the title for the 1st time. "We stepped it up at the right time, and now we're the champs," said Boston (R) manager Luis Santana. "It's a great feeling." The champs finished the regular season 55-33 and claimed first place in the Rookie Complex League North Division. In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, series MVP and second baseman Luis Zumaya said the Shamrocks have "great fans and they deserve this."
