Silva Wins R Honor Monday, September 25th , 2017 Los Angeles (R) fans have something to crow about today as Los Angeles (R) left fielder Manny Silva nabbed the PBC Rookie Complex League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Silva. He posted a .579 average (11-for-19) this past week with 3 home runs, 6 RBIs, and 5 runs scored. For the year, Silva has hit at a .339 clip with 53 RBIs, 18 home runs and 47 runs scored. |
