Season May Be Over for Thunder Oceguera Friday, September 22nd , 2017 Tampa Bay (R) reliever Sergio Oceguera could miss the remainder of the season because of a ruptured finger tendon. He exited yesterday's St. Louis (R) game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Oceguera would be out 4 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." During this season, Oceguera has delivered 0 saves. In 26 relief appearances, he has 33 strikeouts in 65.2 innings with a 8.09 ERA and 2 wins and 2 losses. |
