Titans Announce Trevino Will Retire Thursday, August 24th , 2017 Long Beach reliever Paul Trevino won't be back next year. The 43-year-old announced plans today to retire at the end of the 2017 campaign, saying that it was time to call it a career. "I could probably play another year," Trevino said, "but I don't have that fire you need to play well. And I'm not going out there on those terms. It's a disservice to the Titans and baseball in general. There are just too many aches and pains in this old body for me to continue playing." During his career, Trevino has a 22-12 record. He has 199 strikeouts in 202 innings and has made 117 appearances, picking up 35 saves and posting a 3.03 ERA. |
