Billington's Season Could be Over Saturday, July 22nd , 2017 George Billington of the Oil City Oilers was injured in today's game against Fort Wayne and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is a torn labrum, and he is expected to be out for up to 5 months. It happened while Billington was throwing a pitch. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field." Billington has taken the mound for 10 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 3-1 record with a 2.53 ERA. The Oil City reliever has limited opposing batters to a .158 batting average. |
