Salvador on Fire, 5-for-6 Against Providence Monday, July 10th , 2017 Boston catcher Felix Salvador had a big day at Providence Field against the Providence Grays. The 21-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-6 and led to the 10-2 Battalion triumph over Providence. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Salvador said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Felix Salvador singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
