Boston Shuts Out St. Petersburg Behind Vazquez, 14-0 Friday, May 19th , 2017 Boston Battalion starter Mauricio Vazquez really did a number on the St. Petersburg Pelicans, shutting them out, 14-0, on 6 hits in a complete game victory. He issued no walks and had 12 strikeouts. "We didn't have good at-bats," said St. Petersburg manager Jose Perez. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Vazquez."
