Bad News for Monarchs, Connor Injured Tuesday, April 25th , 2017 Watching Jaylen Connor getting helped off the field today at Manchester Park, fans of the Manchester Monarchs feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the starting pitcher will miss 6 months with shoulder inflammation. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Connor suffered the injury throwing a pitch in the game against the Oilers. To date this season, Connor has a record of 2 wins and no losses and a 2.52 ERA. He has appeared in 5 games and struck out 30 in 25 innings. |
