2017 Top Player Selected In WAC Saturday, September 23rd , 2017 Carlos Cortez of the Arlington Stars had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Most Valuable Player Award for 2017. The 20-year-old second baseman put up a .307 average and a .393 on-base percentage, piling up 147 hits, 32 doubles, 1 triple, 19 home runs, 62 RBIs and 75 runs scored. He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 20.
