Ferdie de Bruin took Amateur Baseball Circuit by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 21.

For his spectacular campaign, the Brooklyn Atlantics star has been named the 2017 Eastern Amateur Circuit Most Valuable Player Award recipient.

"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the shortstop.

On the season he compiled a .324 batting average to go with a .413 on-base percentage. The native of Amsterdam, The Netherlands also added 29 doubles, 1 triple, 28 home runs, 74 RBIs and 91 runs scored.

He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Benito Morales of the St. Petersburg Pelicans finished second in voting, while Mike Jackson of the Providence Grays finished third.
