Higginbotham Named Top Reliever for EAC Tuesday, September 19th , 2017 At the young age of only 25, Jason Higginbotham has been named the Eastern Amateur Circuit Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2017. The future appears bright for the Brooklyn Atlantics relief ace, who captured the award with 19 saves in 40 relief appearances, 67 strikeouts in 73 innings and a record of 4-9 to go with his 2.22 ERA. He received 12 first place votes out of a possible 20. Eddy Perales of the Providence Grays finished second in voting with 8 first place votes, while Francisco Zuleta of the Manchester Monarchs finished third.
