Farmers Pitching Ravaged by Bertsche
6 hits in a game is generally considered a noteworthy achievement, but for Kyle Bertsche, it felt rather hollow.

The 33-year-old went 6-for-6 at the plate at The Oil Field, but his Oil City Oilers fell to the Fort Wayne Farmers, 7-6.

"It's hard to get too excited," the third baseman told BNN following the game. "After a game like this, everyone's quiet and they just want to go home."

Kyle Bertsche hit a two-run home run off Rick Krug in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, walked in the 10th, hit an RBI single in the 11th and singled in the 14th.

So far this season, Bertsche has 13 home runs and a .245 batting average.
