Rafael Para Hurt, Out for Year Friday, September 2nd , 2016 It took the St. Louis (R) team doctor a while to realize it, but starting pitcher Rafael Para won't simply play through a torn flexor tendon in his elbow after he got hurt throwing a pitch in today's Shamrocks-Lions game. At first, it looked like Para might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 9-10 months. This season, Para has 3 wins and 1 loss and a 4.70 ERA. |
