Hitting Streak Still Alive for Nielsen Tuesday, July 19th , 2016 The number just keeps getting higher. Los Angeles (R) shortstop Isac Nielsen has now extended his hitting string to 25 games. He did it today with 3 hits in 5 at-bats as the Los Angeles (R) won the game, 12-7, over the Houston (R) Mavericks at PBC Rookie Development Complex. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Houston (R) manager Han Won said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Isac Nielsen hit a solo-shot off Toby White in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. So far this season, Nielsen is batting .383 with 5 home runs. |
