R Presents Player of the Week Trophy Monday, July 18th , 2016 Colin Montgomery stepped up to the plate in a big way last week and today he took home the PBC Rookie Complex League Player of the Week honors. The Denver (R) catcher ripped opposing pitchers for 9 hits in 19 at-bats and 4 home runs. He put together a sizzling .474 batting average as he knocked in 9 runs and scored 5 times. In 29 games this season, Montgomery is batting .361 with 43 hits and 8 home runs. He has scored 19 runs and driven in 33. |
