Batten Sensational, 5-for-5 Wednesday, July 13th , 2016 Casey Batten really sizzled at the plate in his team's 11-4 win over the San Francisco (R) Peanuts. The Denver (R) third baseman blistered San Francisco (R) for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. "Batten was too tough to get out today," the Peanuts skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Casey Batten hit a two-run home run off John Bryson in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
