Washington (R) Snaps Monnier Streak at 22 Saturday, July 9th , 2016 The Washington (R) Warriors clamped down on René Monnier and put a stop to his hit streak. He went without a hit, ending the run at 22 straight games, but it didn't keep the Shamrocks from winning. Boston (R) downed the Warriors, 13-6. "It was bound to happen," Monnier said with a shrug after the game. In this current campaign Monnier is hitting at a .333 clip with 4 home runs and 13 RBIs. |
