Tyler Randle Out for Season
Monday, September 19th , 2016
Dallas (R) reliever Tyler Randle could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. He exited yesterday's New York City (R) game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Randle would be out 10 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."
Randle has taken the mound for 15 relief appearances this season, nailing down 1 save while notching a 4-6 record with a 3.61 ERA. The Dallas (R) reliever has limited opposing batters to a .279 batting average.
