Montijano Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Saturday, September 17th , 2016 Nobody has been able to shut down Dallas (R) Texans third baseman Franklin Montijano in recent days. The New York City (R) Blues fared no better than the rest. Today at PBC Rookie Development Complex, Montijano picked up 1 hit in 4 at-bats en route to a win, 2-1. It stretched his hitting string to 20 consecutive games. Franklin Montijano flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 6th and grounded out in the 7th. Looking at his season stats, Montijano has compiled a .400 batting average and a .431 on-base percentage, while hitting 3 home runs and driving in 14 runs. |
