Montijano Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Monday, September 12th , 2016 It was a good day for the Texans at PBC Rookie Development Complex as they clipped the Denver (R) Cutthroats, 7-0. It was tremendous day for Franklin Montijano, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-5. "I don't know what to call that," the Dallas (R) third baseman told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Franklin Montijano singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Montijano currently has a .408 batting average with 40 hits, 2 homers, 10 RBIs, 9 runs scored and a .443 OBP. View Boxscore |
