EAC Honors van Rees, Best Hitter in August Thursday, September 1st , 2016 When Andreas van Rees stepped up to the plate in August he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the Eastern Amateur Circuit Batter of the Month award. The young Providence right fielder posted a .312 batting average with 11 home runs, 28 RBIs and scored 27 runs. van Rees also worked pitchers for 9 walks to post a .371 on-base percentage. This season in 37 games, van Rees has hit at a .315 clip with 46 hits, 16 home runs, 40 RBIs and 34 runs scored. |
