Season-Ending Injury for Akifumi Ohashi Monday, August 29th , 2016 When Akifumi Ohashi was hurt against the Boston Battalion, the Oil City Oilers were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 18-year-old catcher suffered a fractured ankle colliding with a player at a base in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Ohashi would miss 4 months of the season. In his 2016 season totals, Ohashi has 14 home runs, .302 BA, .390 OBP, 69 RBIs and 54 runs scored. |
