Yuma Announces Estrada Will Retire Sunday, August 21st , 2016 In the world of baseball, Mario Estrada of the Yuma Gnomes said he feels "over the hill." So at age 42, the reliever has announced that he will call it a career at year's end. "There's always someone younger coming up behind you and in my case there aren't really any people older, so it's time to get out," he said. Estrada has parlayed 266 games and 444 innings of work into a 38-24 lifetime record with 60 saves and 427 strikeouts. In his career he has fashioned a 3.61 ERA with 427 strikeouts and 156 walks. |
