Coyotes Sanchez Has 15 Ks Thursday, August 18th , 2016 Tony Sanchez of the Albuquerque Coyotes put on a pitching clinic at Coyote Park, as he struck out 15 Hollywood Stars in a 9-2 victory. Sanchez, who is tied for 5th in the WAC in wins with 7, was simply magnificent, holding the Stars to 2 hits. He walked 3. "I felt okay at the beginning," Sanchez said, "but eventually my cutter really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game." When asked about Sanchez's performance, Coyotes manager Josh Larsen shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating." To date this year, Sanchez has compiled a 7-1 mark with a 2.54 ERA in 10 starts. View Boxscore |
