Yuko Kobayashi Hurt, Out for Year Saturday, August 6th , 2016 St. Petersburg center fielder Yuko Kobayashi could miss the remainder of the season because of a broken kneecap. He exited yesterday's Providence game after injuring himself while making a defensive play. The original diagnosis said Kobayashi would be out 5 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." In his season totals, Kobayashi has no home runs, .167 BA, .500 OBP, 1 RBIs and 2 runs scored. He has played in 12 games. |
