Xiong Batters Houston Big Time Thursday, July 7th , 2016 Wei-qian Xiong of the Tulsa Twisters went on a hitting spree against the Houston Apollos pitching staff, racking up 5 hits in 8 at-bats, but to no avail -- the Apollos put a damper on his day and prevailed, 5-4, over the Twisters. "It was a heck of a day and I was kind of looking forward to a better ending than that," he said later. Wei-qian Xiong singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 7th, grounded out in the 9th, flied out in the 10th, singled in the 13th and singled in the 15th.
