Montanez Picked Best Player Monday, May 16th , 2016 His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing Francisco Montanez was rewarded with the Eastern Amateur Circuit Player of the Week honors. The scrappy Manchester Monarchs center fielder hit .600 while collecting 12 hits in 20 at-bats, no home runs and 9 RBIs. This season, Montanez has posted a batting average of .353 with 47 hits in 133 at-bats, 3 home runs and 25 RBIs. He has also scored 26 runs, walked 14 times and compiled a .434 OBP. |
