Pedro Flores Named WAC's Best Player Monday, September 26th , 2016 The future looks extremely bright for Pedro Flores. At the age of 21, many players are still trying to find their way in Amateur Baseball Circuit. Flores has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Western Amateur Circuit Most Valuable Player Award. "I didn't expect to hit .346 this year, that's for sure," the second baseman said. The Arlington Stars star also put up a .449 on-base percentage this year, with 148 hits, 29 doubles, no triples, 15 home runs, 61 RBIs and 79 runs scored. He received 15 first place votes out of a possible 20. Robert Carrillo of the Hollywood Stars finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Brian Morgan of the El Paso Mavericks finished third with 1 first place vote.
