Pitcher of the Year Award Goes to Walter Sunday, September 25th , 2016 Christophe Walter of the Albuquerque Coyotes was in command and couldn't do much wrong when he was on the mound this season. His outstanding 10-6 won-lost mark and 3.45 ERA were big factors in his winning the 2016 Western Amateur Circuit Pitcher of the Year Award. In 154 innings of work and 28 starts, Walter struck out 212 while giving up 132 hits and 113 walks. He held opposing batters to a .236 average. He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Jeff Coffman of the San Diego Aztecs finished second in voting, while Ze-dong Tah of the Albuquerque Coyotes finished third.
