Branch Sweeps Up Rookie of the Year Award Saturday, November 5th , 2016 2016 was a good year for Aaron Branch. In his debut season the Dallas rookie rapped out a .292 batting average with 86 hits in 295 at-bats, 11 home runs and 37 RBIs. He walked 45 times and had a .390 OBP. Those numbers got him the Professional Baseball Circuit Rookie of the Year Award. He received 11 first place votes out of a possible 18.
