Alvarez Crushes 3 Homers Against El Paso Thursday, September 29th , 2016 Joaquin Alvarez showed off his power as he launched three balls into the seats against the El Paso Diablos and sparked the Cutthroats to a win, 12-11. "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I have always liked to hit at Cutter's Cove." For the day, Alvarez collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 5 RBIs. "He was instant offense today," Denver skipper Keven Berman said. "Joaquin really put on a show." Joaquin Alvarez hit a solo-shot off Alex Johnson in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off David Flores in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Won-keun Baek in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. Alvarez is currently hitting at a .312 pace with 18 home runs and 60 RBIs. |
